About the Artist

Toqa Eissa is a visual artist and illustrator based between Cairo and Vienna, whose work spans a wide range of mediums and often explores human interactions with a touch of wit and reflection. She holds a Master’s degree in Art and Science from the University of Applied Arts Vienna and a Bachelor of Applied Arts from Helwan University (2020), and also studied Fine Arts for a year at Cardiff Metropolitan School of Art and Design on an ERASMUS+ grant. Toqa has participated in numerous exhibitions and workshops, including Refractive Perspectives at AIL Vienna (2024), Licking Structures at Künstlerhaus Wien (2023), Cairo Prints III with Cairopolitan (2022), the 31st and 32nd Youth Salon at Cairo Opera House (2021–2022), Naema’s Office is Bleeding at Medrar for Contemporary Art (2022), and Roznama 7 at Medrar (2019). She is currently collaborating with Philomena+ gallery.
