About the Artist

Selim ElGarhy is a multimedia designer, researcher and illustrator currently studying architecture at the American University in Cairo. His work is heavily inspired by Egyptian architecture, urbanism, comic art, and fantasy. He works mainly with ink. Digitally, he began an online presence, sketching Cairo as a freelance illustrator in 2015. ElGarhy participated as a designer in Film My Design's Emerging Local Talents (ELT) program in 2022, and since then has been exploring filmmaking as a design medium. His interests span travelling, theatre and film production, alongside his work as a scout.
