About the Artist

Salma Emad is an Egyptian graphic designer based in Cairo, born in 2000. She admires using all forms of design to create artistic and impactful work. Salma is constantly working with endless questions, scenarios and topics that pop in her mind. She expresses herself through design by working on a white document, sketching around till things are seemingly clear. She finds harmony by narrowing the gap between the chaos within her and reality. She believes in the power of design & art to influence opinion, change behavior, and create ways to express what is happening in ways that are more meaningful than words.
