About the Artist

Holistic, fluid, and sometimes unpredictable, Marwa El Emam’s approach is to craft visually appealing designs that resonate with people. While very diverse, Marwa’s approach involves distinct sense of play, aiming to put the fun in functional. Her work is guided by a strong belief in design as a problem solving tool, as a way of forming relationships between ideas and reality. She not only utilizes design to improve connections between people and products, but also finds responsibility in establishing and strengthening this connection. After graduating from the American University of Sharjah, Marwa has developed work that distinguishes itself with bold and unexpected material & color combination, aiming to encourage interaction, and inspire the pursuit of great ideas.
