About the Artist

Laila is a graphic designer and illustrator from Cairo, born in 2002. She studied Graphic Design at the Faculty of Applied Arts, German University in Cairo, where she developed her passion for art and design. Inspired by cats, plants, and fruits, Laila finds endless creativity in their colors, textures, and forms. This fascination gave rise to her series Fruit Beings, where familiar fruits are reimagined as expressive characters. Among these works are Pearplexity and Watermeloom, illustrations shaped by inspiration from the patterns, textures, shapes, and forms found in fruits.Alongside her illustration practice, Laila works as a graphic designer, continuing to explore creativity across mediums and transform ordinary details into imaginative narratives.
