About the Artist
Jannah Abdellatif (b. 2003) is an Egyptian-Australian graphic designer and illustrator based in Sydney. Raised between Australia and the UAE, she holds a Bachelor of Visual Communication and a Bachelor of Design (Honours) from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). Her practice explores themes of cultural memory, identity, and storytelling through Arabic typography, illustration, and publication design.Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at the 9th Annual Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival, where she was awarded Second Place; the Islamic Museum of Australia, where she was a finalist in the AMA 2019 exhibition; and the Beyond Borders Exhibition in Dubai. Most recently, she received the 2024 Photo-Media Award at the UTS Visual Communication Showcase and was featured by Egyptian Streets. She has also collaborated with Rizo Masr and currently works as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator.
