About the Artist

Jacqueline Pettie is a Canadian-American photographer and artist born in 1994. While living in Amman, Jordan, she began her series Marhaba Cats, initially photographing the city’s street cats at the heart of Arab cities. She later expanded the project through her cat drawings. Her work celebrates cultural identity and the street cats of the Arab world.Jacqueline’s art has been exhibited internationally and is featured in independent shops and community events across Jordan, Egypt, and the United States.
