About the Artist

Arwa Hosny Basiony (b. 18 April 2002) is an Egyptian visual artist currently in her final year at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria University, Painting Department. Since beginning her studies, she has been developing a diverse practice that reflects her curiosity about materials and techniques. She enjoys experimenting with different artistic methods, combining traditional approaches with contemporary ideas, and exploring how various mediums can be used to express emotion and narrative.She has showcased four artworks in the “El-Warsha” Exhibition at TAM Gallery, and her work was also featured in “Homegrown” at Shelter Art Space. In addition, she has participated in several group exhibitions at the Faculty of Fine Arts, presenting paintings that highlight her evolving artistic vision.Arwa continues to expand her practice by engaging with multiple disciplines and concepts, reflecting her deep interest in the possibilities of contemporary art and her commitment to establishing her own voice within the Egyptian art scene
