About the Artist
Alaa Mansour (b. 1997, Cairo, Egypt) is an Egyptian visual artist whose work explores human emotions through color and light, translating inner experiences into expressive visual worlds. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University, Department of Oil Painting in 2021. Her practice blends realistic and imaginative elements, reflecting memory, emotional depth, and sensitivity. Alaa has participated in notable Cairo exhibitions, including the 29th and 31st Salon of Youth, the Black and White Salon and Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and Arts Exhibition at Al Gezira Art Center, as well as “Rarely Are We Here and There at the Same Time” at Darb 1718, produced through the Studio Khaana workshop program. She continues to develop her artistic voice independently, creating paintings that explore emotional expression and the interplay of light and imagination.
