About the Artist

An Egyptian visual artist based in Cairo, he brings over 25 years of experience in graphic design and art direction to his illustrations and comics. A father, a devoted cat companion, and a firm believer that tahini ranks among humanity’s greatest inventions, he approaches storytelling with warmth, humor, and a strong sense of character. His work includes picture books, young adult illustrations, and comics, alongside caricature and typographic design. He also leads workshops in digital illustration, visual storytelling, and caricature portraiture. His practice centers on narrative driven imagery, often blending drawing and writing in expressive, character driven worlds. His work has been published in Arabic, English, and French with local and international publishers, exhibited in Egypt and abroad, and his illustrations received the Sawiris Cultural Award for Children’s Literature in 2023.
